Letchworth Receives Transition Bounce Forward Grant Award

The grant is to provide our TerraCycle service with a large-capacity bike cargo trailer. This will relieve us of having to use a car for moving collected materials, reducing the carbon footprint of this Transition Town Letchworth initiative. The cargo trailer will be available for use within our Transition Town group for transporting other items that we currently have to move by car, including, food, plants, community allotment tools, litter collections and display boards. It will also expected to be used for transporting surplus food from supermarkets in support of our local ‘Best Before’ Cafe community initiative (https://bestbeforecafe.co.uk).
